Congratulations! You are living with cancer! I have been living with cancer since April 2010 and believe me I understand how this roller coaster ride goes. I only wish that someone would have told me the tips and tricks of getting chemo over and over and over again. I have had about 14 different types of chemotherapy and experienced the good, the bad, the ugly (including a lovely allergic reaction). I am not a doctor, nurse, or any type of medical profession. I consider myself a professional cancer patient. It is my job to stay alive. This requires a lot of work both physically, mentally, and emotionally. I hope that you have a great team supporting you since you cannot do this alone. It is my hope that my tips and tricks will help you in some way to either avoid a side effect, deal with a side effect, or laugh about a side effect. I have learned that chemotherapy is not a one size fits all and the side effects that go along with it are as varied from one of the spectrum to another. All I know is that anything is worth a try, but always ask your doctor first. A note about doctors: I am hoping you are as lucky as I am to have a doctor who is your partner in this journey and supports your wishes whatever they may be.
